Chardon Square Sidewalk Installation & Parking Stall Closure

square sidewalk notice_Page_2

Please be advised that during the week of October 8, 2018, construction will begin for the installation of sidewalk around the perimeter of both the north and south halves of Chardon Square.

The work will start at the northwest corner of the Square on Main Street across from the Assembly of God Church and the Geauga County offices.  The progression of work will be following the flow of traffic south bound until crews reach the southwest corner near Main Street and Water Street.

Once the west side of the Square has been completed, the concrete crews will begin work at the southeast corner of the Square across from the Chardon Fire Department and the Kirby Building.

As workers progress down each street, businesses can expect to see parking stalls blocked off to accommodate construction vehicles and machinery.  We have asked the contractor make their work areas a “rolling zone’ that will parallel their activity and minimize the number of stalls closed at one time.  Please find a map of the work on the reverse side of this notice.

We anticipate the duration for this work to be approximately (4) weeks, weather permitting.

Please feel free to contact the Public Service office at 440-286-2655 or should you have questions or concerns regarding this project.

Thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter.
