Due to the recent heavy rains and windy conditions, the City of Chardon will be offering a special brush removal service starting on Thursday, March 30, 2023 thru Wednesday, April 5, 2023.   

The specific date which the brush may be removed from your property cannot be determined; however, City staff will do their best to collect all that is placed near the curb or berm over the end of this week and beginning of next week.

The City requests that for this special pick-up, residents only put out limbs and branches that are the result of the recent weather conditions.  Furthermore, please do not comingle leaves and brush as this is two separate operations. The Spring Leaf Collection will commence on Monday, April 10^th, as advertised.

To have brush collected, it must be placed at the curb along City roadways.  No branches more than 6 inches in diameter will be collected; however, there is no restriction on branch length.  The brush should not be tied or bundled.   No vines, prickers, stumps, roots, leaves, or other yard waste will be collected at this time.  

Residents are also reminded that this program is intended to be used for the removal of brush – not felled trees.  Please note, the City will not be collecting brush in private developments or commercial and industrial areas.
